NutriVision AI — Privacy Policy

AppVerge Technologies ("we", "us", "our") operates the NutriVision AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have — including how to delete your account and data.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information

• Name and email address — obtained when you sign in with Google Sign‑In. NutriVision AI does not currently offer email/password or phone‑number sign‑in.

b) Profile & Health Information

• Gender, age, height, current weight, and target weight — used to calculate your personalized daily calorie target (BMI/BMR).

c) Food, Nutrition & Exercise Data

• Food photos you capture with the camera or choose from your photo library, used solely to identify food items and estimate calories/macros.
• Resulting nutrition data for each logged meal: food name, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and health rating.
• Exercise entries you log: activity type, duration, and calories burned.

d) Information We Do Not Currently Collect

• We do not currently collect phone numbers, advertising identifiers, or precise location.
• We do not currently use crash-reporting or analytics SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics) inside the App. If this changes in a future release, this policy will be updated accordingly before that release ships.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your session.
• To analyze food photos using AI and return calorie/macro estimates.
• To calculate personalized calorie and fitness targets.
• To let you view your food and exercise history across sessions and devices.
• To operate, secure, and improve the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third‑party advertising.

3. AI Processing & Third‑Party Services

Food photos are used only to produce a nutrition estimate and are not used to identify you personally by any third party we work with.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your session token and a local cache of your profile are stored securely on your device using encrypted app storage.
• Account, food-log, and exercise-log data are stored on our backend server over an HTTPS-encrypted connection.
• We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and log data for as long as your account is active, so that your history persists across sessions and devices. If you choose "Scan‑Only Mode" during sign‑up, no food logs or health metrics are saved to our servers. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time — see Section 6.

6. Your Rights — Access, Correction & Deletion

You can review and edit your profile information at any time from the Profile tab in the App.

To permanently delete your account and all associated personal data (profile, food logs, exercise logs):

1. Open the NutriVision AI app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account & Wipe All Personal Data".
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

NutriVision AI is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under [13 / 16 — confirm your target minimum age]. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and, where required, we will provide additional notice inside the App.
